Megan Stallworthy

I make sketchbooks, notebooks, journals, visitors books and albums, using handmade, watercolour and pattern papers, leather, vellum and linen. I like simplicity in both form and design, and aim to make books that are calm and subtle, activated by areas of colour, pattern and texture.

I studied Design History and Bookbinding at Brighton Polytechnic, and have been working as a bookbinder for more than 25 years. I make books for sale and to commission, restore books, and work with a team of book conservators at All Souls College, Oxford.  I run workshops and teach bookbinding to art and design students at colleges and universities.

I am a member of the Society of Bookbinders and an elected member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen.
