Sketchbook bound with blue bookcloth and Sunn Hemp paper. This traditional Islamic paper from northern India is made from sunn hemp fibres and coloured with natural plant dyes. After colouring the paper is burnished by rubbing with a smooth stone, which gives it a beautiful gleaming quality.
